Learning again

So ... in my spare time I've been trying to re-learn 3DS max and at the same time trying to improve how I model hard surfaces.  I'm currently, still, making this car.  However, I decided to do a test render in Mental Ray based off of what I could remember.  I need to look at some better ways to get more realistic renders and also I should look at composting tutorials.  Right now this is a straight render from Max with about ~1-2 minutes touch up in Photoshop.  When I finally get the car done I think I'll tone down the glow and maybe choose a different color for the car.  I don't think I did an AO pass on this either.  I should probably look into those settings, as well.  Ah well.   :P
